Hardware
In production we used:

-
Black Magic 4K mini URSA
-
Vinten Tripod
-
Lexar Pro memory card

Specific to one moment in production:

On the shoot day, we used a Black Magic 4k mini URSA as our camera provided, this was previously introduced to us in the camera workshops (insert here) We placed it on a wheely chair- an imporovisation made after discovering our lack of equipment for our shot going away from our actress. The memory card already in the camera was something we had ot be aware of, we actually swapped it round half way through. To capture this first shot, I altered the lense with my hand and zoomed in on our actresses face. This makes sure shes in focus. I altered the white balance, making sure we had the right lighting- which was crucial in our sequence as it's very lighting orientated. Once my shot was set up, I pressed the record button and stayed stationary while the scene played out. After 30 seconds, I began moving the chair backwards, slowly, before the director called "cut". I made sure to keep my hands steadily on the chair and make sure the camera didn't wobble. I then pressed that same button to stop the recording (there was a choice of the red button on the side of the camera, or on the screen that displayed the picture)

We used the tripod throughout the rest of the shoot, where we balanced the camera on. Being the camera operator meant I had the most use out of the hardware and could get used to the way it worked. Before this specific moment, we opened up the legs of the tripod together to safely adjust it to the right height whilst the camera was on top. After this, we set the spirit level of the camera by using the bubble to centre the camera. As a result of this, I could therefore pan and title the camera in my desired direction using the handle on the side of the camera.

We used Titan Tube lights which were provided for us, they worked really well in our sequence. I took them out of their boxes and was taught how to change the colour and light intensity on the toolbar on the inside- after experimenting with the colour, we decided on pinks, blues and reds- with strobe lights placed further away to get that chaotic affect.
The microphone we took out of the box and chose not to place the wind protector shield over it. We would use it occasionally in the moments when we thought we could pick up some good sound effects. Danny pointed this in the direction of the action, mainly at the floor where he could capture the most sound (falls and hits and struggling from characters)

Software
In terms of software during production, we didn't require much. Using our Iphones, on the camera app we videoed and took pictures of what we did that day. We actually made a behind the scenes video, capturing everything that we did that day to prepare for our shoot. We used iMovie to edit this (falling into what we did in post production) however we used the apps on our phones to vlog the day.

ONLINE
Whilst shooting our sequence, we had to improvise with the makeup on set, considering none of us are professional makeup artists. To do this we watched a few short clips on applying fake blood to someone- making it look realistic. This was done on youtube.

We later then used YouTube, again, to upload our behind the scenes video to the internet.

As well as a BTS video, I also mentioned in my blog what we did on the day, including; setting up our props table, the lights, which gave more of an insight to our day.
